Tales of the Sea was painted in 2016 for Bismore Park in Hyannis Port, located near the Harbormaster Building in the Hyannis HyArts Cultural District. The 18-foot-wide mural was developed from archival sources and imagery to evoke connections between the sea and the region’s maritime past, bringing figurative and abstract elements into the public landscape. Painted on primed aluminum panels using exterior water-based paints, the work was completed in the studio and then installed on site as part of the park’s visual experience. The mural is part of the town’s ongoing public art efforts that enhance cultural identity and place-making along the Harbor walkway.
